Tyler Alder's roots are planted deeply in Ephraim. He is a fourth generation resident. A graduate of Manti High School and Snow College, he also served in the Nebraska Omaha LDS Mission under Jack Bangerter, a former Utah State Senator.
President Bangerter taught Alder the importance of serving and giving back to the community. Another overwhelming influence for service is growing up in a home where a Purple Heart hangs on the wall; it helped him realize the great blessing it is to be an American and the responsibility and sacrifice that come with citizenship.
Alder believes that Ephraim is a great community to live in and raise a family. He recognizes that many good things have been done by previous administrations but thinks that there is always room for improvement.
Tyler is eager to listen to everyone's concerns and ideas for making Ephraim a better community. He loves Ephraim and believes it is the best place to live and raise a family and if everyone works together great things can happen.
Tyler is married to the former Calissa Sampson and they have two children Sharlie, age seven; and Lincoln, age four. He has been employed by the South Sanpete School District for 13 years and is currently working at Ephraim Elementary.
Tyler welcomes any comments, questions or ideas for Ephraim.
