Library cards are free to residents of Ephraim, Mount Pleasant and Manti. Residents of other areas in Sanpete county may obtain a library card for a fee of 10.00 per year. This fee is to offset the taxes paid by residents of Ephraim to support the library. Snow College students may obtain a card for a fee of 5.00. Proof of residence is required to obtain a library card. We accept utility bills, rental agreements, bank statements and photo ID with current address.
You may check your account online by signing in to the catalog. Once you have signed in, you can access your account and can check your account balance, renew items and place items on hold. If you have questions, please give us a call, we are happy to help. Our number is 283-4544.
You have three ways to renew items. You can call us at 283-4544, you can come into the library or you can access your account online and renew your items as long as they are not overdue, or have exceeded their maximum checkout. All items except DVD’s may be renewed twice. DVD’s can only be renewed one time.
Late fees are .10 per day on all items except DVD’s. DVD late fees are 1.00 per day. If your card has over 5.00 in fines, you will not be able to use your card until they are paid. After 30 days, an item that is not returned or renewed will automatically be set to lost and a replacement fee for the item plus a reprocessing fee will be charged. If an item that has been sent to lost is returned, the maximum overdue charge is 2.00. If you have questions about fees on your account, please contact the library director.
Our local book transfer allows you to place holds on items from our sister libraries in Manti and Mount Pleasant. These books are transferred weekly between the three libraries. Interlibrary Loan is a service through the State Library that allows us to expand the search for materials outside our local area. So if we don’t have it, we still may be able to get it for you. Interlibrary loan requests may be made in the library, by email (email@example.com) or over the phone.
